im trying....

i hate living in a sand box. so i have been on my own personal adventure to find beauty in unexpected places. its helping, but im still not a big fan of the dirt hole i call home!



john and i went to rogers springs today. everything was dead and crunchy, but i ended up with some okay stuff :)


this was carved into a palm tree, i guess you can find love in unexpected places!

thought these pods were cool. they were the only two on the whole tree. the last survivors! wonder what they will be.

omg! sooo much fun! i seriously sat outside with kyler, diesel, and stitch for ever! we refilled his bucket 3 times! how is it that something so silly can make me sooo happy?! haha!





pooch was hangin out, it must suck to not have hands and have to catch the soapy bubbles in your mouth! sick!

i still have a christmas tree in my back yard...

i think you should have to like me all the time, not just cause hallmark says so.

im not a big fan of valentines day. traffic is terrible, restaurants are packed, girls are sad or anxious if they dont have a valentine, and for some reason these poor guys have all this pressure put on them for the perfect gift, or moment or who knows what unrealistic expectations these girls have... all to think your loved?! i am truly grateful for the wonderful person i get to spend my time with. things arent always perfect, but im pretty sure cinderella has already nabbed prince charming. i am confident in how he feels about me, and our relationship. that said... he is kindof on the sweet side. he always feels like a shmuck if we dont do much, so he always suprises me with something. sometimes its dinner, or sometimes its something small... but he cant do nothing. remind me to call and thank his mom :) haha. he had to work an valentines. on saturdays he works swing, so he had to be there from 330 pm - 1130 pm. i didnt get done at work till 530. i knew i wouldnt see him till he got home later that evening. i got home, and these wonderfully delicious strawberries were waiting on the counter for me! yummo! they are my favorite! he even had them dipped in WHITE chocolate! he is wonderful!

A new baby is like the beginning of all things - wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.

while i was there i took a bunch of pictures for them. there are so many i loved, but i narrowed it down so i didnt overload this page :) haha! i hope you enjoy them, i did.

Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.

i went to san diego this last weekend to go see two of my very best friends. cherees baby shower was on saturday (the 7th) i flew in on thursday evening, and stayed till monday. friday we did some shopping, and got cherees hair done. she took the day off to hang out with me, we did a whole lot of nothing and enjoyed every second!




ruthanne did such an awesome job decorating! this is part of one of the book shelves. sooo cute!



these are nicks baby shoes! after the shower was over, nicks mom brought out nicks baby book. he was born in dec. i did not know until i read it in his book, that he was named nicholas after st nick. ruthanne said because he was going to be a christmas baby, she thought it was fitting! how cool is that! i have never heard of anyone being named after santa clause!



the clouds were unreal this weekend! it rained so much! every once in a while the sun would peek out and this is what we would get! it was beautiful!


i hate this game. there i said it. maybe cause i cant smell, or maybe cause its just icky. i am well aware that its chocolate, but it super grosses me out. :)

yoda is 90!

my grandma gunderson (my moms mom) turned 90 last month! she is too funny! i couldnt get to her on her birthday, so she came out a couple weeks after to be with us! we all met at pf changs and had dinner,






then went to mikes for carrot cake (her favorite) and ice cream. it was such a good night, and i am soo blessed to have been able to spend some time with her.

everyday sunshine

this is my puppy. she makes me sooo happy. its silly really, but how would i get through the day with out her?! there is something to be said about a strong silent friend, who only wants to share your french fries, and in return will be your whole heartedly devoted buddy forever.







i wouldnt even know where to start explaining how head over heels happy these two make me. i cant help but smile at them. they are silly and sweet, and never seem to run out of hugs for me....
