seriously, have i mentioned how much i love birthdays?!

this is my friend mandy. we met in third grade. i had a writing assignment for school, and you had to write a letter. catch was if you got a response, you got extra credit...

i went to church and dug through the address book and found the address to a church building in ireland. i wrote 2 letters. one to the bishop, and then another one to a girl my age. his said to please give the other letter to a girl my age with similar interests that was interested in having a pen pal.

mandy wrote back. i was soooo excited. i was the only one that got a letter back. i cant imagine why michael jordan wasnt writing back. morons. haha. anyhow, when mandy was in high school her family got visas, and moved to alamo. which is just north of here. i was so excited! we had written for almost 10 years! i drove to alamo for mandys high school graduation, and thats where we had met for the first time. soooooo cool. we had so much fun. i met all her friends, we had a blast.

mandy has since gotten married, and has 3 absolutely beautiful babies. i have been soooo blessed having her in my life. she is truly one of my favorite people... and the accent doesnt hurt :)

we took these last month for her christmas cards.... i figured it was safe to post them now :)

already?!

i slacked for sure this holiday season. im not sure what it was, but i wasnt digging it for some reason. john had been out of town between thanksgiving and christmas, and i was just in a funk :/
but i did it. i finally got all the decorations up, and put together the tree... and now i have to take it down! ahhh! its only been 2 weeks!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
john, danielle and i spent our new years eve together :) we got all dressed up, and went over to the hard rock to go see pink! wasted space was sooo packed, so we only got to see her from the door, but how stinkin cute was she?! i was bummed her hair wasnt pink, but it was a super pretty blonde. we ducked into body english, escorted by johns boss... so fun. thats where we were when it hit midnight. it was way fun! we danced and danced... what a great way to ring in the new year! john was too cute shakin his buns! he's actually a pretty good dancer! go john! i think after makng all our rounds, we made it home around 5! woo hoo!

seriously a photo shoot in december, in the desert in the middle of nowhere at 6 am! wtf?! sooooo cold. jen was awesome though. she got to my house at 4. hair, makeup done by 5 and then off to the salt flats... you would not believe how freaking cold it was. thank goodness she wasnt a prima donna cause im telling you i was bundled the hell up... pictures are off to the magazine, hopefully ill get to post some soon... argh, but not till they get all there crap done :)
